Privacy Notice

Effective Date: October 2026 · Version 1.0 · Stealth Edition

CharakAstra (“we”, “our”, “the project”) is a bootstrapped research initiative founded by Atharva Shirahatti building confounder-controlled diagnostic AI auditing infrastructure. This Privacy Notice explains how we handle data submitted via this website.

1. Information We Collect

CharakAstra collects only information voluntarily submitted through our Research & Collaboration Intake Form, including your full name, institutional email address, professional affiliation, area of collaboration interest, and project inquiry message. Alongside the message we record the time of submission and whether the notification email was delivered successfully. We do not set third-party tracking cookies, run cross-site advertising scripts, harvest user behavioural data, or store your IP address, device fingerprint, or browsing history.

2. Purpose of Collection

Information submitted is used strictly to evaluate research compatibility, respond to collaboration inquiries, and coordinate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for clinical or multi-center research partnerships with CharakAstra and its founder Atharva Shirahatti. Submissions are stored in a CharakAstra database and forwarded by email to founder@charakastra.tech so the founder can respond directly; replies to that notification email go straight back to the address you supplied. We do not sell, rent, or trade your contact details to any third party.

3. No Personal Health Information (PHI)

This website does not collect or process Personal Health Information (PHI) or patient records. CharakAstra handles de-identified, aggregated research data exclusively under institutional data-sharing agreements and applicable ethics approvals. No patient data is transmitted through this website.

4. Data Security, Storage & Hosting

All form submissions are encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS (HTTPS). Submissions are stored in a CharakAstra research-intake database hosted on Cloudflare D1, and notification email is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing; Cloudflare therefore acts as the infrastructure processor for both. Submissions are accessible only to Atharva Shirahatti through a password-protected administrative console. In accordance with GDPR and applicable international data protection standards, you may request deletion of your contact data at any time.

5. Retention

We retain submitted information for as long as it is needed to evaluate and respond to your inquiry and to maintain the resulting research correspondence, and we delete it on request. If a collaboration proceeds, the retention period for any shared research material is governed by the data-sharing agreement or NDA executed for that project.

6. Stealth Mode & Confidentiality

Submitting a collaboration inquiry does not constitute a commercial contract or intellectual property license. All research discussions are treated with professional confidentiality. Our 8-Gate audit framework, methodology, and proprietary research data are shared exclusively under executed NDA with qualified research partners.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, port, or erase the personal data we hold about you. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Research Intake Form.

8. Updates to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The effective date will always be displayed at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Notice.
